soft-focus edges & olfactory funk
        by Rachel Ferber

Concepted, designed, and produced by Rachel Ferber, soft focus edges & olfactory funk features a series of anthotypes — photographic prints on paper created using photosensitive material from plants under the influence of light. Through this work, Ferber “speculates that the anthotype might be used as a means to test ideas, communicate more discreetly and break free of the capitalist pressure to perform, to produce and to embody a static identity designed by algorithms.”
The book’s plexiglass cover doubles as an anthotype exposure frame — turning the book into a DIY tool for the reader to make their own anthotypes.
